So let me tell you a little about myself. I’m 45+ years young and getting younger every day. I’ve been a geek since my first computer class in 10th grade and yes, they had computers back then. Over the years I’ve moved up through the technical ranks through tech support, programming, IT management and project management. Along the way, I’ve also analyzed and redesigned technical business processes, created manuals and training, and worked with marketing and product divisions to round it all out. My latest role is as a Program Manager at ad EdTech (educational technology) company leading the design, development and launch of their new student and instructor web portals.
Sounds boring and mind-numbing, doesn’t it? Well, it can be so I had to create an outlet for the “other” me. The more fun, creative, down to earth me. My clients call this “me”, Web Goddess. (cue chorus of angels)
For about 15+ years, I’ve been the owner and primary employee of Copper Penny Designs, a web design company focused on helping small businesses, especially those in the holistic and metaphysical communities utilize the internet to promote and grow their businesses. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many mainstream customers as well as light workers. I have designed and maintained manufacturing and technology sites, CPAs and lawyer sites as well as those of angel intuitives, life coaches, spiritual centers, and yoga studios. (Oh, so many yoga studios, hehe) I’ve also helped a number of clients sell their products online and launch their books by creating eCommerce options, launch sites and setting up their email campaigns and partner give aways.
My spiritual and metaphysical interests run the gamete, everything from ancient aliens (yes, they are still here) to wiccan. I’m always looking into this or that and love learning more. I’m especially into ancient Egypt. I have a strong interest in health and healing. I’m a Reiki Master as well as a non-denominational ordained minister. I love yoga and am working on getting more consistent with my meditation. Ohm…
This blog is for anyone seeking help and information on using the internet to grow their business. But I especially want to help those light workers who struggle with the technical and business aspects that relate to the web. Too often I’ve seen these businesses close, not because they or the quality of their product or service, not because they don’t treat their customers right (these are some of the MOST customer conscious folks you will ever meet!). But because they didn’t have the knowledge or tools needed to showcase their offerings in the best professional light possible. I want to help “shine the light” on light workers and their businesses.
